We sometimes want to search out and cling to that which is noble, uplifting, and truly beautiful in our world. Wood has this uplifting natural beauty. Its colors, figure and patterns lift my soul and draw me closer to the divine.
I am recently retired from teaching children for thirty-five years in the public schools. I learned that working with my hands after school in the wood was great physical and mental therapy. I have tried to seek and appreciate the creations of nature's hallowed hand.
